THINK! Road Safety is a South Australian Government initiative designed to encourage drivers, cyclists and pedestrians to consider their behaviour on the road and help prevent avoidable incidents. Focused on raising awareness and reducing road trauma, the campaign reminds all South Australians that every decision made on the road matters.
Created as the centrepiece of Adelaide’s Be Safe Be Seen cycling safety campaign, this giant inflatable bicycle was designed to make road safety messaging impossible to ignore. One of Australia’s largest ever made inflatable, its oversized presence and high-visibility colour drew attention from all angles, helping deliver the campaigns safety message and encourage engagement from both cyclists and motorists alike.
From an engineering perspective, the project required a carefully considered design to maintain the recognisable geometry of a bicycle while ensuring structural stability at massive scale. The finished inflatable became one of the largest stand-up inflatable structures produced in Australia, attracting media attention and creating a memorable public activation.
Bold, highly visible and instantly recognisable, the inflatable bicycle demonstrated how custom inflatables can transform safety campaigns into impactful visual experiences.
