To launch Finish’s Water Waste campaign, Sydney’s iconic Bondi Icebergs Pool was transformed into the country’s largest kitchen sink, designed to highlight the importance of reducing water waste at home. Created as the centrepiece of a multi-channel campaign, the installation aimed to spark conversation around water scarcity and encourage Australians to rethink everyday habits like pre-rinsing dishes before loading the dishwasher.
We produced a large-scale inflatable tap and sink installation positioned dramatically beside the oceanfront pool. With water flowing from the oversized tap into the pool below, the inflatable created an immediate and memorable visual metaphor for unnecessary water use. The unexpected transformation of one of Australia’s most recognisable locations helped draw attention from visitors, media and passers-by, amplifying the campaign’s message.
The activation formed part of a broader initiative encouraging Australians to make a pledge using #FinishWaterWaste, with Finish donating water to drought-affected communities through Rural Aid. As the launch moment for the campaign, the inflatable installation provided a powerful visual anchor, supported by PR, social media, influencer activity and national advertising.
Bold, meaningful and highly visible, the Bondi Icebergs installation demonstrated how large-scale inflatables can deliver impactful storytelling and encourage a nationwide conversation about water conservation.
